Industrial Products
Aleris is one of the leading suppliers of sheet and foil products for industrial applications. Drawing from a long list of unique properties, we can provide aluminum that:
- Is light in weight, durable, and highly formable
- Is highly resistant to corrosion under the majority of conditions
- Will not discolor products it comes in contact with
- Has no toxic reaction
- Has good electrical and thermal conductivities
- Is highly reflective to both heat and light
- Can be easily formed into shapes
- Can be coated with a wide variety of surface finishes
At the end of their useful life, aluminum components are completely recyclable.
Given these characteristics, we proudly service the following industrial segments:
Electrical Conductor Strip
Aleris provides aluminum coil slit with special tolerances for use in transformer windings. Aluminum’s excellent conductivity makes it an obvious choice for developing magnetic fields and efficiently stepping voltages up or down.
Boat
Aleris provides high-quality product for the freshwater boat market. Aluminum has been used in the marine industry for more than 100 years because of its light weight, ease of fabrication, and good corrosion and fatigue resistance.
Fin
Aleris Light Gauge Products offers coiled aluminum foil used in residential, commercial, and automotive heat exchanger applications. We’ve supplied 1100 and 3003 alloyed materials as light as .003 inch thick in both plain and coated applications for more than 25 years. Aluminum’s high thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance are prized in these applications.
Irrigation Pipe
Aluminum has been used in the irrigation industry for more than 50 years. Its low density, good strength, and corrosion resistance make it an excellent choice for many tube and joint applications. Aleris can provide continuous-cast and direct-chill material.
Cooking Utensils
Another of Aleris’ broad offerings is the ability to supply aluminum coil used for cooking utensils. Frying pans, skillets, and sauce pans made from aluminum are extremely desirable because of aluminum’s excellent thermal performance, durability, ability to accept non-stick coatings, and economical cost.
